Google Calendar: Wine Holidays from Winegeeks.com

By Ryan Snyder on 6.9.2006

Leave it to Google to come out with impressive tools that can be used for seemingly useless activities. First, we winegeeks spent countless hours adding Google Maps to our website and trying to pinpoint the exact location of many wineries throughout United States. (Didn't catch that one? Check out our news release Appellation&Winery Maps) Now, Google has released a personalized calendar that anyone may use, and all we could think about was how cool it would be to share important wine drinking holidays with all of our readers.

So we did. And it's cool. If you're a winegeek, that is. Some people simply raise their eyebrows and shake their heads in bewilderment. But those with a true passion for the vine appreciate reminders of upcoming wine holidays and are always looking for a good, or even paltry, excuse to break into the cellar and pop a cork or three!

So far, we've only covered the basics: Valentine's Day, Easter, July 4th, International Rosé Day, Beaujolais Nouveau, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve. Our primary goal was to put together a basic calendar with friendly wine reminders and links to articles we've written for each specific holiday. Now, we'd like to open up our Inbox for ideas on other important dates to include in our wine calendar. You may send all of your Bacchanalia requests through our Contact Us page.

Without further adieu, here is the link to the Winegeeks.com Google Calendar. Simply click the button below, and it will automatically import our calendar into your customized Google Calendar. Cheers!
