esbrown reviewed Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino 1997 on April 18, 2005 Beautiful aromatics of big, dried black fruits, strawberries, licorice and figs gently caress earthy undertones of dry leaves and mushrooms. Jammy and rich on the palate with more mushrooms, cinnamon, olives, graphite, leather and cloves. All these and more are adeptly integrated into chewy and mature tannins. Well made and still a little tight, a few years in the cellar will help this wine to reach even higher. |
