The Shenandoah Valley AVA sprawls across Amador County and El Dorado County in California, and neighbors Fiddletown. It consists of over 10,000 acres, with 2,000 acres hosting grape vines. The primary grape grown here is Zinfandel, and is known for its heavy, jammy characteristics. Most of the vineyards here are contracted to larger wineries outside of Amador County.
