A varietal that hails from the Provençal region of Ballet but is now found throughout the Languedoc-Rousillon area of southern France. The same grape as the more well-known Vermentino varietal found in the Cinque Terre region on the Italian Riviera. Aromas and flavors of fresh grass, almonds and citrus fruits are common. Also found in Sardinia and southern Italy.
