I am not a regular drinker of Barbera, and while I didn\'t love the first sip of this wine, I came to really enjoy it after it had \"breathed\" a while. I didn\'t like it at first because it was dry and a little too powerful for my palate. The rest of the bottle, though, was a strong red wine without much fruitiness. I think it would go well with any dish with some kick to it--mosts meats or anything cooked or decorated with strong cheeses. I would definitely buy this bottle again.
