Great wine for a great price! Good berry flavors with easy going tannins with lots of liveliness in a red wine. Full-bodied but not overbearing like the zins I have been consuming lately.

Beautiful wine! Went very well with pork roast and butternut squash. Ripe pear, apple and mild honey notes with just enough spice on the end to round it out.

Drank this before an Artesa Reserve Cabernet 1997 on my 30th birthday. A little tight when we opened it but after 1/2 hour in the glass the cherry, vanilla, and soft tannins came out. Best to decant this one for a while and let it evolve in the glass.

Went well with the oysters we had but needs another 3 to 4 years in the bottle. Still pretty tight but had a nice minerality with fleeting citrus and bread dough notes.

All I can say is wow. Opened this on my 30th bday at McIntosh's steakhouse in Charlotte. Decanted it and let it breathe for half hour. Gorgeous nose of strawberries and ripe raspberries. Got better every minute in the glass. If you can find it, buy it!
