thewineguy777 reviewed Sawyer Cellars Merlot Rutherford 2003 on January 31, 2008 This is a powerful Merlot with solid structure from a more average vintage in the valley. Notes of Plum, black cherry, & a touch of cinnamon are followed up with flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and cocoa. The finish features ripe yet firm tannins. Think T-Bone with this one! |

thewineguy777 reviewed Perez Cruz Maipo 2005 on January 30, 2008 For the money this is one of the better Cabernet's that I have tasted recently. It has a medium+ body with plum, black cherry, and a touch of oak. The finish is like velvet. I wish all $15 bottles were this good. |

thewineguy777 reviewed Sawyer Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford 2000 on January 30, 2008 Sawyer Cab is a classic Rutherford product. The fruit is rock solid with notes of blackberry, cassis, and plum. The body is full with more black fruit and vinalla. The finish featured the classic "Rutherford Dust" that we all dream of. I would rate this wine a 9.3 out of 10. |
