Belle Mount Vineyards is located on an old settlement established in 1707 as a land grant from the King of England. The region includes many historic communities on the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers plus the Chesapeake Bay.
The vineyards benefit from the milder climate of Virginia's Northern Neck
and the hills overlooking the river make for a scenic setting often used for weddings.
The wines range from flavorful bordeaux styles to unique light and fruity blends. Cabernet Franc, Pinot Gris and Merlot are the prmary vinifera grapes grown at Belle Mount Vineyards. Chambourcin, Vidal, two French-American hybrids and Norton, the all-American Grape, complete the lineup.
