Camerano

The G. Camerano and Figli farm is found in the heart of the “Old Langa” and has been producing the classic Piedmontese wines of Alba for generations. The winery and estate-owned vineyards are located in the village of Barolo, where the wine-growing techniques have been handed down from one generation to the next. For years and years, while other Barolo winemakers were out making names for themselves, Camerano family remained in the background, growing Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera grapes and making wine which they sold locally.

With the 1995 vintage, however, things changed. The proprietor and founder, Pier Ettore, handed over the reins to his daughter Francesca, who took charge of marketing and to son Vittorio, who stepped into the winemaking position, enabling the family company to look seriously abroad for the first time.
