ryansnyder reviewed Filippo Gallino Roero Superiore 2001 on October 18, 2006 This was a red like a rustic farmhouse, with that scent of worn hardwood floors and a black cherry pie that had popped out of the oven 6 hours prior and was now cool on the kitchen table. On the palate, black cherry and roasted fig mix with orange zest, black pepper and oregano. It's hard to find a Piemontese Nebbiolo for less than $20, and when you do find, it probably won't be very good. This was the exception. |
