johann reviewed Beaulieu Vineyards Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon 1999 on September 28, 2004 A good concentration of cherry and plum zest up front. Spices arrive mid-palette, with pepper spices, smoke and leather nearly cloaking the fruit flavors. The finish is lengthy with some fruit, but strong oak and petrol flavors makes this rather harsh and unenjoyable in the end. |
