mphilde reviewed Excelsior Cabernet Sauvignon Robertson 2007 on August 26, 2010 Lots of heat and currant on the nose. Needed time to open up to reveal fruit flavors. Tastes of bittersweet chocolate and coffee flooded the tongue and left black plum and smoke in the finish. A good low priced cabernet with a short finish. Easy drinking and not memorable. The body never fills your mouth and doesn't stay long enough to leave an impression. Nice wine to accompany everyday meals of pasta, pizza and light BBQ. |
