johann reviewed Pascal Cotat Le Grande Côte Sancerre 2002 on July 23, 2004 Anyone who has fallen in love with Loire Valley whites should appreciate this wine thoroughly. A rather subdued bouquet of light citrus and papaya disguises ample fruit on the palate. A long complex finish, carried by all the wonderful limestone, mineral notes and a nice, slightly chalky texture, this wine is a brilliant example Sancerre's mastery of Sauvignon Blanc. |
