esbrown reviewed Tamar Ridge Tamar Valley Riesling 2003 on August 11, 2005 From the up and coming Tamar Valley region of Tasmania's northern coast. Very floral, much more so than an Aussie Riesling, with a pleasant peach aroma that mingles with minerals and a certain chalky quality. The palate is an interesting mix of sour star fruit, lime zest and tangerines, with not unpleasant whiffs of petrol and rubber. Fine amounts of snappy acidity make for a mouthwatering finish. Complex, light and tasty. |
