esbrown reviewed Selbach-Oster Fish Label Dry Riesling QbA 2003 on September 26, 2005 Crystal clear in the glass, with only the faintest pale straw hues. Light and fragrant on the nose, with aromas of white fleshed nectarine and the first peach of the saeason. You can smell the acidity, and it smells great. On the palate there is plenty of big, crisp Red Delicious apples and tangerines, with mouthwatering acidity and a finish that starts with salt and gravel and then takes on a creamy note once the acidity subsides. A lot of wine for $12. |
