ryansnyder reviewed Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques 1er Cru 2000 on January 25, 2006 Now here is a wine with a body that is simply amazing -- composed, elegant... some would even say soothing. On the palate it shows a composition of stewed cherry, blood orange, rose petals, damp forest leaves and minerals. Outstanding flavors and structure, with tannins that are still a bit tight and the flavors not quite gelled together. Lay it down for another 6 to 9 years. |
