esbrown reviewed Tenuta Sant'Antonio Amarone della Valpolicella Selezione Antonio Castagnedi 2002 on October 1, 2007 This wine brought an accessibility and easy style to the table that is not often found in young Amarone. Aromas of dark red fruits, smoke, caramel and dried leather led to a palate that was filled with black plums, dark chocolate and spices. Though a touch oaky at this point, the chewy tannins proclaim a wine built for the cellar. |
