A delicious Zin. Typical for St. Francis, who I think has been making really nice Zins for several years. Rich is the key word. Spicey, jammy, and quite complex. Still on its way up the hill, I think it will improve for a few years. See the 1996. I think Winegeeks underrated this one, it's a 7.0 minimum.

Baked blueberry and black cherry with notes of topsoil, cedar, tobacco, leather, cinnamon and nutmeg. Good length with a light wintergreen on the finish. Nice balance of tannins and fruit. Very rich.
