xdecarmejane reviewed Viña La Rosa La Capitana Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 on October 5, 2005 Brilliant ruby red hue. Currant, dried herb and earth aromas. Medium-full, this has nice depth of fruit along with a balanced finish. I did like this wine. It's worth its price. |

esbrown reviewed Viña La Rosa La Capitana Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 on September 17, 2005 From the hot Rapel valley, this Cabernet starts off with a big minty bang. Aromas of fresh mint, eucalyptus and dusty currants are expressive, but quickly take on a medicinal note, followed by dusty currants and loam. The palate is awash with high acids, tannins and oak. There is a some pleasant red currants underneath, but is not enough to overcome the double whammy of astringency and acidity. |
