esbrown reviewed Romano Clelia Collio di Lapio Fiano d'Avellino 2004 on January 8, 2006 Light straw in color with a touch of viscosity. Super expressive on the nose with almonds, apricots, clover honey, mangoes, cinnamon and orange zest. The palate is just as big, with notes of coconut, pineapple, orange zest and a long and cramy finish filled with almond paste. Like dipping an almond pastry into an orange brulee, except with enough acidity to keep it from feeling sweet. |
